Here we got it ! Nuke’s second live-realise after coming back on stage. And what can I say about it? Nuclear Assault is one of my favourite bands, and even if they are not getting younger- they do not dissapoint.
This DVD has a total underground, oldschool atmosphere- everything is recorded in a small club full of people, video quality isn’t that well, but actually it’s an advantage for this album. Situation with sound is really similar here- far from perfect, yet gives more underground feeling (actually, they could fix it a bit, as there are parts where there are totally impossible to hear one of the guitars. Or both one or two times).
But let’s go the the main aspect- setlist is amazing. All clasic songs + two tracks from Thirld World Genocide (Price of Freedom and Long Haired Assholed- the second one was really funny to hear live). Even if John isn’t freaking out on the stage, as he did twenty years ago- he is still a good frontman with a lot of feeling for the music. The best example is the moment, when he leaves the stage and sings Butt Fuck from the middle of audience or small jokes he puts on the stage (like saying “Hi mom” in the middle of New Song).
So we’ve got a raelly good DVD, way better then Alive Again. Lauder, Harder, Faster features also a lot of bonus materials- the best thing are parts of different gigs from whole Assault’s career- we can see how the band evolved and how their form live changed.
