Stygian Shore- The Shore Will Arise [Shadow Kingdom Records; 2007]

Eighteen long years. This amazing songs waited eighteen years to see the daylight for the first time. Stygian Shore recorded that album just before their break-up and released three years after the first reunion gig. Pretty long time, to keep that jewel hidden.
But believe me, it was worth waiting- even if Stygian’s are nowadays totally forgotten and underrated band- here we got one of the best heavy metal albums of all the times. How could it be different, when band mixes early Black Sabbath’s atmosphere with Manilla Road’s epicness and finally adds a bit of Cirith Ungol. FInal result of that mixture is recorded, where everything is done absolutely perfectly. Every single riff, every single note here is just a part of that mighty masterpiece. Everything is finished with a great vocal. It’s hard to believe, that only three people created music like that. Just listen to opening of Heavy Metal Queen. WHAT A BLAST. It’s impossible to not bang a head to that song.
So that leads us to a final question- how SUCH amazing band can be that forgotten? Even after reunion they are remembered only by few maniacs. If you haven’t heard about Stygian Shore- change it as fast as you can. Total must-hear for every metal fan.
