Intruder- Live To Die... Relieved [Hellion Records; 2004]

Live To Die… Relieved is a re-release of legendary Intruder’s debut album. Except for a new title and cover art- we got the same piece of music and demo tracks as a bonus. So this will basically will be the review of a classic “Live To Die” album.
And in my opinion this is the best release, that band recorded, better even than “A higher Form Of Killing”. We got here a classic thrash metal with a lot of heavy influences, and amazing, high vocals (Jimmy Hamilton, ladies and gentlemen ! this guy always knows how to do his job)! And the second highlight of that album are guitar solos. Fast, aggressive and in the same way with amazing feelings. Guitar solo in metal should sound exactly like that. Well, not only solos- riffs are really nice also, sometimes speed and thrashy, sometimes they go totally into heavy. So we’ve got a bit diversity, which defines band’s style from the very beginning. That’s good. And everything is played here in a 100% american way.
Although, even if we’ve got here a great compositions (Victory In Disguise!! That one is AMAZING), sometimes there are moments on album when the power is a bit lost. In theory everything is OK, in practise something is missing, you know what I mean. And probably that’s the main reason, why Live To Die is forgotten album nowadays. And by the way- I think that it was a bad idea to change cover-art for re-edition. Classic one is a total killer.
