Wings In Motion- Cyclicity [Another Side Records; 2014]

Oldest In Flames album was a pretty good stuff, but everyone knows how this band looks nowadays. Let’s be honest- it’s almost a pop music right now with distorted guitars. Why am I starting this review this way? Because Wings In Motion from Athens sounds a bit like modern In Flames wannabes.
So this album is really, really bad. From the first song we’ve got all ingredients, that are needed to make your album a total disaster. Unlistenable keyboards- check. Pop choruses- check. “Modern metal” riffing- check. Sad lyrics- check. And every single of these elements goes further into each song recorded on this album. Just imagine how much willpower I have- I’ve listened to it from beginning to the end TWICE to write this review. And I can swear- the guys are not only ripping-off post-Clayman In Flames (which isn’t a good idea), but they’re also ripping off themselves! A lot of riffs sounds like deja-vu! Hey, I’ve heard this before, wasn’t that part in a previous song?
Bad inspirations combined with lack of creativity. Bad combination. All Right, the guys want to play melodic death metal. Please someone lock them in a basement and play At The Gates 24/7.  Right now “Cyclicity” is a 0/10.
