I’ll be honest- I realise that Incarnated are right now veterans of death/grind scene, but it was my first meeting with that band, I’ve never heard anything from them, except the name.
And generally I like what I’ve heard. Incarnated mixes two bands, that I love- Exhumed (compositions) and Dismember (sound). Everything is of course served in filthy, bloody gore sauce. All songs here sounds like fights between two teams- Exhumed& Brutal Truth’s merciless and brutality stands against Dismember&Grave’s swedish influences and guitar sound. This collision gives us satisfying results. It’s not a groundbreaking record, but “Try Before Die” is a good album, I know, that I’ll come back to it someday. It would sound better with other vocals- Pierscien’s growl is not the best I’ve ever heard, and there are some parts, that we just need to hear that high-pitched scream typical for extreme music. But it doesn’t appear. Another annoying thing is a fault of mixing- even if album has really a great sound, there are parts where drums are way too loud, which kills pleasure from listening to that album.
Yet still we got a really solid material. Despite some disadvantages it’s an example of deathgrind done right. With perfect inspirations. Incarnated have a green light from me, keep on playing guys ! ; )
