Does anyone have a number to K.K. Downing? I’ve heard that there was a big robbery in his house- some guys from Portugal stolen tapes with Judas Priest riffs that hasn’t been used! Ok, now seriously- even band’s name suggest that British Gods will be a huge inspiration here. And so they are- Midnight Priest have taken heavy metal essence from them and create an amazing album!

That record is a must-hear for every classic heavy metal fan. We’ve got here all best elements in that music putted into one killer record. Guitar harmonies, great solos high-pitched Halfordish vocals, killer riffs - everything you want is here. As I mentioned at the beggining- there are a lot of elements from Judas, but Midnight Priest isn’t just a copy band, hell no! Other strong influence here are early Iron Maiden records and Mercyful Fate ! So just imagine what a great ride must be on that album! Of course everything is played on a great level- a killer stuff ! And everything is as old-school, as it should be! Believe me or not, this CD is one of the best releases of 2014.

I cannot even recall one bad element of that album. Sound, compositions, vocals- everything is great. Ok, someone may say “Everything that Midnight Priest serves, we could here before”- so what? I don’t care, it’s a great job and I love that album. Wojciech Michalak
