AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR - Teeor,Incest and Death MC 2014

As I am used to total minimalism when it comes to theAGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR`s releases, I was extremely surprised when Mikael sent me another tape of theirs. A pro tape and a professionally printed inlay heralded it was going to be a crushing studio-like quality of recording. Areal shock!
There are 15 destroying tracks on this “Terror, Incest and Death”material of AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR.If these guys weren’t too fond of cd stuff, this tape would surely be treated as their debut album. I have always been amazed at the fact thatthe band have been together for only four years and released, in total, 11 titles. These include two demo tapes, two singles, a compilation and this cassette full length album.
I remember when I first heard this band`s music. “Skull Torture” is real destruction, and in spite of the fact this stuff was just 8 minute long, I knew they`d mean something in the underground. With every next material (“Crushed By Tyranny,” “War Of Extermination" with BATHORY`s “Sacrifice”), I realized what direction these two chaps: Mikael Holm and Mikael Zetterberg are musically heading toward. I was impressed even more, as AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR is just young people who want to recreate the atmosphere of the 80s,yet still remain original. A good example of such an approach is this “Terror, Incest and Death.”
This tape is strictly limited to 125 copies. What we face here is the homage paid to the old school. These fellas feel the 80s like no one else, and tracks like “Sacrifice of Virgin” (my favorite one), “War of Armageddon” radiate with Infernal Rock n Roll. You can hear these very catchy, a`laVENOM`s “Evil Child’s Laughter,” “Raising Hands,” and “Doomed To Live.” An ass kickingsong is “Brutal Darkness of Death.”Some more aggressive tracks are “Eaten up from Inside,” or “Taste the Knife.”
Although this material consists of 15 tracks, it remains very variable. Well, the tracks are not very long. These played in mid tempos are particularly noticeable. “Destroyers of the World,” the first track on the b side is very catchy. Anotherfavorite track of mine is “Phantoms of Necrolust” which reminds me of DARKTHRONE. Norwegian influences are present in the title track“Terror, Incest and Death.”“Warriors against the World” is another strong point here.
This stuff ends with “Doorway to the Holocaust” and “Misanthropic Devourment”. These tracks are quite typical of the band. They are, however, slightly worse than the rest. Well, hard to expect all these 15 tracks to be as powerful as “Sacrifice of Virgin.” Anyways, this is an excellent stuff, and surely worth listening to. Thismaterialhas also been released in the cd format through the Mexican label American line productions.
