AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR- Death Toll demo 2013

AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR- Death Toll demo 2013
“Death Toll” is the band`s seventh material and their sixth demo. It has been released with three different covers (different colours). This strictly limited edition has got 5 lethal tracks, including HELLHAMMER`s “Massacre” cover track, that deserves to be discussed separately. Every time I listen to this band, I can’t understand how AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR are able to record such good stuff that corresponds so well with the atmosphere of the mid 80s metal.
The band have been constantly recording only tape demos, even their debut stuff “Terror, Incest And Death” has been first released in the tape format, and recently was released on CD. The tape was strictly limited to 122 pieces. Ok, let`s talk about the music, shall we? The first track, “Struggle to Survive” is a surprisingly vigorous track, but, luckily, has got some slower parts too. Second comes “Destroyers of the World.” That’s a typical AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR track, it’s got this specific atmosphere I’m already used to.
“Taste the Knife” is another sharp song that, with all this brutality it has, makes “Death Toll” a very brutal album. “Phantoms of Necrolust” is, for a change, a distinctly slower cut and one of my favorite when it comes to AGGRESSIVE MUTILATOR. The tape ends with a well-played cover song of HELLHAMER. What pisses me off is the fact this stuff is just little over 13 minutes in length and put on a 90 minute tape! You want more and more, but after the “Massacra” track there is just the dumb silence. Well, rewind the tape and listen to it again, I will tell you!
