Another material of these tireless Swedes of Aggressive Mutilator. It is their seventh demo, and their tenth material so far. Prettyimpressive! Långrocken consists of four, rather stylistically different from what we are used to when it comes to the band`s repertoire. Sure, it is still metal with good old schoolinfluences, but this time we can hear more psychedelic elements; especially on the title track Långrocken. Also, the first track Storängenstarts with a short and morbid introduction; fortunately shortly after all hell breaks loose. Pure aggression – this track is very good and very dynamic. I am kind of surprised with this track`s a bit tooclear sound. It all is too sterile, I miss all this “dirty” atmosphere I know from the band`s early tapes. On the other hand, this tape sounds more selective and, surprisingly, you can hear the bass parts very distinctly. “Långrocken” is stylistically very different a track, it is good, but a far cry from what one is used to.  ’’Barbropåle’’is a song that is based on specific fast tempos – with some distant influences of early IRON MAIDEN. And, of course, it is more diabolic! Anyway, you can easily detect some NWOBHM elements, it is an ok track and that`s it. It all ends with a nearly 3 minute long ‘’Vagnsberget,’’ which, besides ‘’Storängen’’is one of the most interesting tracks. The Mikael`s vocals are like Quorthon`s from The Return. And this archaic, old school atmosphere, so similar to early Running Wild is a very strong point that ends this demo. LWS
