Debut album of italian SIGN OF THE JACKAL invvites us to a journey through time and space to distant 80’s, serving us a great Heavy Metal with a big dose of Devil. Well, sir Devil always successfully inspired maniacs of heavy sound to create a music with unique character. “Mark Of The Beast” is an amazingly dynamic Heavy Metal with a tytanic guitars in style of ACCEPT/WARLOCK. Influences of the second band are noticable especially in case of coval parts of Laura Coller, which coresponds with Doro’s expression. Laura’s vocals perfectly fits music, which is strongly builded on oldschool character of ancient Heavy Metal nobility. In present times not many bands can be proud of this feature. Really good idea was to used samples from classic horror movies. It’s another element, which in effective way enchants whole and adds to these songs a mystertious and unique atmosphere, so characteristic for metal albums released decades ago. SIGN OF THE JACKAL with a big solicitude tries to cultivate metal traditions, from stylistic to the production, which in effective way avoided all modern influences. Everything sounds like it was created 30 years ago. If not the ears, I’ll heave a smile round my head, that’s how I like this music ! “Mark Of The Beast” is one of these albums, that will appear very often if your players. It have a supernatural magic and it’s hard to stop listening to it. Recently not many bands posses such a power to absorb a listener in such an effective way, so he only want to focus on absorbing sounds. It usualy refers to bands created three decades ago. SIGN OF THE JACKAL is one of the rare bands from younger generation, that made such a strong impression on me. Unique atmosphere concluded in this intricatey arranged compositions is created mostly from massacrating ears guitarists Max and Roberto, which hits with more and more powerful riffs. If we add to this mixture Accept’ing guitar sound with great solos, the image of whole would be complete. SING OF THE JACKAL in an unique way ballanced the heaviness of compositions with melody. All atmospheres subtly permeate creating really intricately created whole, which in the same while have a lot of catchiness. Every song is a Heavy Metal hit.  Album is really consistent, it emanates with a big load of emotions, it pulses with power. There are no outliers compositions. Songs, which especially possessed me during the listening are dynamic “Hellhounds” and “Night Of The United”. I won’t forget such a hit as “Heavy Metal Demon”, “Fight For Rock” or “Queens Of Hell”. It’s also worth mentioning that fenomenal “The Beyond” is opened by the intro from classic horror directed by Lucio Fulci from 1981, with the same title. “Mark Of The Beast” was at first released in vinyl fom by High Toller Rec, but in Japan it was released bu Spiritual Beast.
