AIR RAID -Point Of Impact CD Spiritual Beast 2014

Last time swedish scene brought to us a big load of good Heavy Metal, setted of course in the classic formula of 80’s, without that plastic shit, which marks a new productions. “Points Of Impact”, second album of Gotheborg crew (which began in 2009) , which decided to create  against fashion and trends oldschool music. Even if there are a lot inspirations from STORMWITCH, RUNNING WILD or IRON MAIDEN, it’s at least not a ripping off that bands. “Point of Impact” in perfect way recreates classic atmosphere from the golden age of Metal. Young guys from AIR RAID have a great level of awarenss, about what they want to play, they really know oldschool metal, and what’s not without meaning- they have got a big skills as musicians, that’s why the can so easily move in the stylistic, that they choose. AIR RAID’s music is really natural, we can hear that these young people are steeped by Heavy Metal. It’s their air, which their breath. We can here a true joy of creating that music. It’s true and honest style of playing, which contains dedication and respect for the past times.
It’s impossible to not notice mature arrangements, spiced with majestic, classic sound. AIR RAID with taking a great care of details created album, which could be easily released in 80’s. I thinkt, that it will for sure gather a great attention, not only because of music itself, but also thanks to production so different, that most of the albums released nowadays. Everything is here natural, without any unnecessary overlays, modifications or triggers. Pulsing deep of Rob Thunderbolt’s bass conected with Dave Destructor’s remarkable drum parts creates really strong and consistent rhytmic section, which adds music a great speed. It’s also easy to notice a good work of guitar duet Stormchild/ Johnny Nightshredder, which is without any doubts a big advantage of AIR RAID’s music. Everything mixed in a very mysterious wat creates really massive and good sounding music with really clear and strong  vocals of Arthur W. Andersson, which perfectly completes all. AIR RAID have a big chance of conuquering world’s music. They’re music is  plainly, catchy and without slush. It’s one of that CDs, that you listen to very often. Japanese edition has an extra bonus, which is song “Soldiers Of The Dark”, which is a covert of Swedish Metal scene veterans INSANE.
