AXECUTER- Anthology CD 2014 Rising Rec

I’m not a big fan of compilational materials. But in case of AXECUTER it was a pleasure to me to listen to this release. So far I knew only their debut from 2013 “Metal is Invincible”. Thanks to “anthology” I could find some unkown to me before songs from repertoir of that very interesting brazilian horde. They began in 2010, but don’t expect a new-way moder metal here. It’s in 666% classic Heavy Metal, strongly marked with 80’s atmosphere, so it’s like a honey to me.
On the album except of author’s song we can find some greatly played covers, from example from repertoir of Gods of Epic Heavy Metal MANILLA ROAD “Heavy Metal to the World”. As a guest here appeared Mark Shelton, who in a effective way supported Danmented in backing vocals. Another classic here is “Blood and Iron”, from Heavy/Doom metal CIRITH UNGOL. AXECUTER grapped for a composition from third album of Americans’s band “One Foot In Hell”. There was also a tribute for brazilian legend VULCANO. AXECUTER took composition “Doveru Dominios of Death” from album “Tales from the Black book”. I think, that rhose one who haven’t heard AXECUTER after these 3 covers can realised with what kind of band we’re dealing with, and as I mentioned before, even if band is young, it carries a huge package of cassic heavy metal and everything is played on a really high level. Arrangements are very mature, songs very epic, yet they’re not complicated, which is a big advantage. Of “Anthology” we’ve got 12 songs. First four come from debut demo “Bangers Prevail” (2011), other two were earlier on 7EP “Innocence Is Our Excuse”. After them there is a MANILLA ROAD cover, which at first appeared at AXECUTER’s debut album. Last two songs comes from EP  from 2014” and they’re entitled “The Axecuter” and “Raise the Axe”/ Finally guys added unpublished before CIRITH UNGOL cover. As you can see thanks to tha album you can fill the “hole” in AXECUTER discography. It’s worth, because some releases appeared in a strict limit and they’re unavaible since a long time. It’s worth to have this album- really good album. With a Devil’s touch of course.
If I have to pick one song from that album that’d be a really difficult for me, as every single is a strong, powerful hit. Since the opening “Bangers Prevail” starts the true madness. That song was effectively written in my memory, the same with “Ritual of Decibels” with a marching rhytm. Another song worth attention is entitled almost the sae as one of the materials of British SAXON: “Innocence Is Our Excuse”. Next hit is also heavy, massive sounding “Blades Of the Hun”. Strong accent is also “Raise The Axe”. It’s been a long time, since I’ve been charged with energy so much, as after listening to this album. These songs ripps heads.
