A one man band called DESPOT comes from Brazil and formed in 2008. “Satan In Death Row” is horde`s debut material and is rooted in the death/black metal vein. Ok, this band is not too innovative, but has some potential when it comes to guitar work and their interactionwith vocals. Pretty bad is drumming machine, I would say; – yet, as a whole, this album is musically interesting and a lot is going on here. Marcelo Murrer has, no doubt about it whatsoever, a clear vision of what he wants to accomplish with his music – and most importantly, there are no random sounds here, on this album. The material has been thoroughly elaborated. Dense guitar work are somewhere between Death, Black and Thrash metal – one cannot get bored with this cdr in result.
