ROADHOG - Dreamstealer CD[Thrashing Madness; 2015]

You don't know how good you have it! Well, this old phrase never gets old, don’t it, I guess. Just take a look at how good an album Roadhog from the city of Krakow recorded! A solid, heavy metal album it is.

It a time machine trip back to the 80s. These dudes serve us some classic, German heavy metal for dinner! The sound is excellent and utterly well written. Really noticeable is the duo Pemo-Ogór, juicyguitar work is album`s strongest point. Overall, the throbbing bass strengthens this material pretty much and pretty well. All right, I would say the drums could sound better and be more elaborated but still it is, pretty, decent.

Well, as said before, this album means guitar work – riffs, riffs and utter riffs! And guitar solos! And these are 80ish to the bone, get into your head, powerful. These songs show how powerful this band is and allow us to believe that Roadhog is going to, with time, to take a strong position among other heavy metal bands in Poland. Ok, before we end, I need to mention the thrashing madness edition which comes with three bonus tracks (demo versions). honestly, these tracks are album`s best – they sound sharp, cocky and are much heavier than the album versions. Yes, the vocals in the demo versions are considerably weaker but still, these tracks are just the strongest punches this album has got to offer.
