Krisiun- Forged In Fury [Century Media Records; 2015]

I have always liked Krisun. This Brazilian, uncompromising fury just precisely bulldozes a listener into ground. And, one cannot deny this band is awesome when they play live. At this year`s Brutal Assault Festival, they showed what they really are capable of. That’s why I was looking forward to their new album. I was not, by any means, disappointed. Right from the very beginning, this stuff sounds perfect, I think they`ve produced, as of now, their best sound, here, on this album. And this sound matches their awesome songs. Moysesas` solos are in the foreground. Just listen to what this guy does in "Ways of Barbarism"! This is how this kind of music oughtta be performed. It is all well elaborated, precise, has got the right atmosphere, and overall fits the music perfectly. The brothers are doing alright as well, the Alex’s vocal is powerful, and Max just drums like crazy. The album`s strong point is the fact all these tracks are good. There are no fillers here. Right from the beginning, this is a pure, South American hell in the A league. let`s don’t forget about bonus tracks. So we have "Electric Funeral" performed by Krisiun. Well executed this cover song completes this album perfectly. Lads and ladies, this is how death metal ought to be played! Wojciech Michalak
