ETERNAL THIRST- The Hellish Fight Goes On CD Metal Om Metal 2017

I have never been too much into power metal music, so I wasnt too sure how to start reviewing this material. To write a neutral, unbiased review, you know. No doubt about the fact this band must have potential as this album was released by Metal on Metal. One can hear how slick these musicians are, as they can handle their instruments really well. The Hellish Fight Goes On is of power metal, we know that, but have some heavy metal elements too. It means a nice listen and, to be honest with you, I need to listen to a given material at least 5-10 times before I can review it properly. I love the Chilean metal scene so I intended to really get into this album. The band formed in 2006 so we don’t deal with no greenhorns, for sure. This is their third full length album to date. Well, I was trying to find something absorbing in their music, but to no avail. It all sounds solid, so to speak, especially the guitar work is powerful. The vocal is very high, very strong, sparky solos and powerful drumming. Pretty characteristic when it comes to this style, but nothing new on the other hand. Yes, this stuff was getting more and more dimensional with every listen although I must admit I am not too much into stuff like that. I believe many people will like ETERNAL THIRST as this is not a copycat of HELLOWEEN or HAMMERFALL. You can distinctly see they`re looking for their own music personality; this music is spacious, plenty of catchy and powerful riffs. I do think this album stands out from the abundance of power metal albums released these days. It has got "that something" special.
