SZEPT from Upper Silesia worship blackness enchanted in dark corridors of our souls. Krzyk Czarnej Ziemi is just two tracks with an intro and truly horrifying outro. This oozes old school black metal with Polish lyrics, making this demo even more expressive. Yup, the Upper Silesia region was always the cradle of good music, so it comes as no surprise, SZEPT has a lot to offer, indeed.

The music itself is devilish, no doubt, yet the lyrics aren’t. They`re dark, so to speak, and deal with some folksy themes. The title track tells us about the treasurer, who guards wealth hidden deeply underground. Zaklety W Petli Czasu is a track which deals with passing and death of a human being. Good lyrics, indeed, totally un-black metal, which is undoubtedly fairly import_ant when it comes to this genre.

While listening to this demo, I am asking myself whether I am actually dealing with black metal or not. The music itself is very interesting, in the vein of early 90s, good lyrics, so why am I tetchy? Well, I am an old school guy so in my book black metal ort to glorify devil – and this demo lacks this part, I am afraid.
