APOSTASY - The Sign of Darkness CD 2018 Fallen Temple

Hell, how can the Chilean scene be ignored when we`ve got so many amazing bands over there to enjoy? APOSTASY is one of Chilean older crews and they formed 30 years ago, imagine? I must say they`re celebrating this anniversary in a really proper way as they`ve just released their new album The Sign of Darkness – an awesome mix of old-school thrash and hell itself! As we can clearly see devil and metal go hand in hand and stand for something quite unique – same applies to The Signas this album is very original. We need more music like this. It is hard to comprehend how well they managed to comprehend and utilize the vibe of the 80s. Hard to believe this is acontemporary recording. You listen to it all stunned as this stuff kills! I simply absorb sounds like these. Cris Profaner`s vocals are a bit like KkWarslut`s (the Wildfire era comes to mind) but the music itself don’t share too much with D666`s at all. The Sign of Darkness is, however, a very original piece of music as you can easily sense this is how APOSTASY have developed and improved throughout the years. Their music is rich, fecund, mature. It has got a lot of additional elements; a lot is going on here on this album. Plenty of tempo changes, all well elaborated, all well-polished-up. You can easily hear how easy it is for these guys to create music. The rhythmic section destroys! The guitar parts are marvelous. Sparky solos. The music`s atmosphere and these amazing vocals. Yeah. This album is one of better releases to be out this year and I do hope that due to the fact this band has been taken care of our Polish (European) label will result in more promotion available for this Chilean band. I am looking forward to seeing them live. Get APOSTASY unless you`ve known of them before. They`re worth your time and attention. Necro.
