I am pretty sure you guys have stumbled across these Columbian black/speed madmen – GUERRA TOTAL, haven’t you? They’ve been “adding fuel” to the old school metal fire incessantly for the last 16 years. Nihilistic Malthusian Manifesto (The Ouroboros Cosmic Indifferentism) is the band’s seventh full length album and while writing this review, well, the band has released another recording of theirs, so, as you can clearly see these fellows ain’t slowed down at all. You can sense their music has improved and becomes, with every next recording, more mature. Yet, this is still frantically charming, this love for speed of theirs. Emotions are mixed with condensed energy on this album. The music is very catchy and sincere. It all sounds very mature and still remains suffused with old-school vibe and incorporates classic influences as well. What I mean is the track called Interludium - Osario de Palonegro – heavily influenced by Chopin which, mixed with metal approach, works out really well.Demonslaught’s keyboards, combined with speed metal energy kills. This stuff is complex, full of heavy, speed and/or black metal elements. The way it is all mixed seems just amazing. In result, this stuff is very pleasant to listen to. One can’t get bored with these phenomenal arrangements and atmospheric richness blended with buzzing energy. Killer material, plain and simple. Get this stuff, you won’t be bored! Very recommended.
