There exists a number of interesting doom/death bands in the present underground which I can think of and provide you with their names, and I am sure IMPURE DECLARATION is getting on this list too!!! This is slow`ish, very massive death metal, or death/doom if you like (although this termis more appropriate for old Dutch bands from the early 90s, like PHLEBOTOMIZED for instance, TBH). Well, I can hear a lot of good ideas on this one, and I am happy they`ve brought forth just a shorter product instead of a full length. This is definitely a good move, since churning out condensed, quality recording is the (best) way to go, in my opinion. If I were to compare this Mind upheaval`s repertoire to other bands, I would, definitely, point out SPECTRAL VOICE and KRYPTS as main inspirations. Indeed, their music oscillates somewhere between these two bands…the sound is particularly good,in a word,it fits the music and overall atmosphere perfectly. Very spacious, very menacing yet, still very underground, very stuffy and truly organic. I am already looking for their previous No paths, no guide cd and you guys should be doing the same unless you already have,on understanding that quality death/doom is your cup of tea.
