LEGIONEM- Sator Omnia Noctem CD Metal on Metal 2020

If you like DEATH SS or PAUL CHAIN, then I am more than sure you`ll like LEGIONEM from Italy, too. In short, these tracks are just amazing. Sator Omnia Noctem is their second album and though they formed just back in 2016, they have been capable of creating a truly masterful vibe, so close to the mysterious occult/doom metal from the 70s.

There is pitch-black, powerful riff age as well as a huge dose of theatrical atmosphere, quite melodic and thus highly memorable. Some minute, very subtle use of keyboards makes this album very tight; and perfect vocals add to these songs sound nobility and sophistication.

I am happy that LEGIONEM features no more than three guys, the very fact which reconfirms that three-piece bands are best when it comes to best music. Sator Omnia Noctem is a good example of such an approach.

This is a very interesting album, very complex and diverse, but not overly complicated. It is all properly dosed, and its mysterious atmosphere is similar to a horror movie soundtrack.

Really enchanting this album is and quite enslaving too. Simplicity is power, and therefore Sator is a truly unique album that I will keep coming back to, that’s for sure.
